How far in advance should I book? As soon as you have a date in mind, please call. I book several months in advance (spring, summer and fall) months are super busy. 6 weeks in advance is best, but sometimes last minute shoots are my favorite if I’m available!
What is natural light photography? I remember seeing this years ago when I was just getting started and laughed at this phrase because I knew that was the best light–in the natural setting. Then the more I looked around at photographers, I realized that to call yourself a natural light photographer, you really have to know and understand the light and how to work it. I personally don’t care for flash, and use the beauty of the sun as my main source of light if possible for outdoor sessions.
Do you have a studio? Yes I do. Located conveniently in Jacksonville NC minutes from the mall.
Do you sell digital files? No. I refer to it as a “Full Access Portrait CD” (YES, you can print from this.) The portrait disc gives you the client the printing rights, email sharing & permission to upload in web forum (i.e. Facebook-Myspace-Blog) However, you are not allowed to crop/edit any images.
What happens to the files I don’t purchase? I purge my system every 6 months but I do send out friendly reminders to clients who have not placed their orders.
How long does it take to see/get my portraits? A few days after your session, I will post a sneak peek on my blog or FB. Within 7-10 days of your session, you will be able to pick up your order. Specialty items is a 2 week turn around time to have your portraits in hand.
